]]> I haven't posted in a long time. I felt this would be a good photo to get back with all the action. A photo of today's partial solar eclipse as seen here in India. The sun rose in an eclipsed state, which was very good for viewing and taking photos. I had never tried anything like this before... so decided to give it a try. I spot metered on the sun, that's why the sky is so dark. No post processing has been done on this one except cropping.

The bird was circling around in the sky, eyeing a boat full of a fresh catch of fish that had just landed on the beach. In this photo, it is getting ready to swoop down on the spread of pomfrets and salmon on the beach.
